Egg Tuck – Westwood

Koreatown’s Egg Tuck has opened a new location, bringing their epic breakfast sandwiches to Westwood Village. Now lucky Bruins can practically roll out of bed and indulge in their egg sandwiches and breakfast burritos.

At Egg Tuck, you order on the touchscreens and wait for your name to be called. The menu is limited to the egg sandwiches and breakfast burritos, with a few sides. Prices start at $7.99 for the egg sandwich (soft scrambled eggs, chives, sriracha aioli and mayo on their housemade brioche bun) and $6.99 for the breakfast burrito (scrambled eggs, tater tots and sriracha aioli in a flour tortilla), with add-ons like cheese, avocado, bacon, ham and soy chorizo. For those not wanting eggs, you can even sub Just Eggs (though vegans will need to avoid the sandwich as the brioche bun is not vegan).

I got the Avo Egg ($9.99), which was stuffed with their soft fluffy eggs and lots of avocado, sandwiched between slightly sweet toasted brioche. So delicious!  They included a couple of packets of Tapatio, which I used to add a little spicy heat.

We also ordered the breakfast burrito with soy chorizo ($8.49), which is one of the cheapest breakfast burritos I’ve encountered on this side of town. It wasn’t too big, but just right for the price.

If you wish to eat there, they have a dining area with several tables or you can eat standing by the bar at the window. For takeout orders, they take care to pack the sandwiches so that they stay intact. The next time you’re looking for a quick breakfast in the Village, tuck into Egg Tuck.
