With the increase in fast-casual dining options, Sea Salt Fish Grill is one of few focusing on seafood. Offering generous portions at a mid-price level, Sea Salt is welcome addition to our eating repertoire.
The menu is rather extensive, covering everything from chowders to tacos, salads to burgers, poke bowls and entrees. My husband was overwhelmed with the choices, and that was before I pointed out that the menu continued on the back. Somehow I managed to have whittled down my options to non-fried (sorry, shrimp po’ boy) and no poke bowls (though those looked amazing).

The grilled fish tacos were a good choice. Big pieces of white fish were simply grilled, served with cabbage, tomatoes and dressing on corn tortillas. Two tacos came with the order, along with rice and a huge pile of freshly fried tortilla chips. The chips looked heavy with oil so I though they might be soggy. Turns out, my fears were for naught – they were crisp and salty and entirely irresistible – so much for avoiding fried food.

My husband’s salmon burger featured a nice, big salmon patty, but was overly salted, which was a surprising comment from him as he likes his food salty. It came with a refreshing Asian-style slaw with crispy wonton strips. He also added on garlic fries, which the cashier had recommended, for a mere $1. As she had promised, they were good.

If you do a Yelp or Facebook check in, they’ll even thrown in a free dessert – churro waffles! Cutting into one, I could see the oil seeping out, so I limited my intake to just one bite.
The TVs were showing the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating contest – not something you want to watch while you’re about to eat. That probably influenced my decision not to devour all of my chips and the churro waffles. If you’re looking for reasonably-priced seafood, Sea Salt Fish Grill is worth a visit. Hopefully, they won’t be showing any food eating contests so you can enjoy your meal to stomach’s content.
